Setting Default Time, Wait Time Between Student Created Hall Passes and Requiring Students to Assign a Teacher to a Pass

Student created hall passes are restricted by a default time limit. You can also set a wait time between Student created Hall Passes and require Students to assign a teacher to a pass. Adjust these for your school preferences.

Permission Level: Owner

To set a default time for Student created Hall Passes or the Wait Time Between for Student Created Hall Passes, you must first have the Students Can Create Hall Passes setting activated.

1. Open Minga and click on the Hall Pass
2. Hit the Settings tab
3. Under Student Settings - Toggle the Students Can Create Hall Passes on

Now that this has been activated you can set the Maximum Student Created Hall Passes per Day, Maximum Number of Active Student Created Hall Passes, Default Student Created Hall Pass Duration and Wait Time Between Student Created Hall Passes. Settings are saved automatically.

We recommend keeping the duration short and sweet with something like 5 minutes.

You also have the ability to require that Students Must Assign a Teacher to a Pass by toggling this setting on. This works well for reporting and also sends a notification to the teacher who is selected in the Approved By field.
