Common Error Codes and What They Mean

When using Minga, you may see error codes when a student or staff member attempts to register, check in, or manage activities or events. These codes are designed to explain why an action cannot be completed.

Below is a list of common error codes, what they mean, and what to do next. This is not an exhaustive list, only the most common error codes. For the complete list of error codes, please search "Error Codes" in the in-app Help Center.

1: Wrong grade

The studentโ€™s grade level does not match the requirements for this activity.

4: Is not a group member of allowed group
The student is not part of the required group for this activity.

5: Is on no access list
The student is on the "no access" list in your Minga.

6: Is not a member of allowed registers
The student cannot register because they arenโ€™t part of an allowed register.

7: Wrong role
The user doesnโ€™t have the required role (e.g., teacher, student, admin).

8: Is not on the required sticker list
The student does not have the sticker/tag needed for access.

9: Is not registered
The student is trying to check in without being registered.

10: Does not meet check-in requirements
The student doesnโ€™t meet specific check-in conditions.

11: Already checked in today
The student has already been checked in once today.

12: Activity does not exist
The activity ID is invalid or was deleted.

The system cannot find this personโ€™s profile.

15: Unknown error
An unexpected error occurred.

16: Activity is full
The activity has reached its maximum capacity.

17: Needs a ticket
The event requires a ticket for entry.

18: Invalid code
The code entered is incorrect or expired.

19: System error, try again later
There is a temporary system issue.

20: Unavailable in kiosk
This action cannot be completed in kiosk mode.

21: Not on required user list
The student isnโ€™t on the list of users allowed for this activity.

22: In multiple homerooms
The student is assigned to more than one homeroom, which causes a conflict.

23: Not in a homeroom
The student does not have a homeroom assigned.

24: No homeroom
No homeroom exists for this student.

25: Unknown homeroom error
There is an issue with homeroom data.

26: Registrations are closed
The registration period has ended.

27: Check-in is closed
Check-in for this activity is no longer available.

28: Check-in is unavailable
Check-in is currently disabled.
