Resetting Automation Groups to Zero

This article discusses how to reset your automation groups to zero. This resets all student behavior counters back to zero for this automation group. Most commonly done each quarter or semester depending on your tardy policy.

Permission Level: Owner | District Manager

Update All Automations Back to Zero

This will reset all automation groups in your Minga back to zero. 

Step by Step:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Settings tab  
  2. Click on Minga Resets 
  3. Click on "Reset" next to "Automation Counters

You will be prompted to confirm resetting all automation counters as they are permanent.

All Automations will be reset back to zero. Students will be at step zero in your Progressive Discipline Framework for all automation groups.

 

Updating Specific Automation Groups Back to Zero

Navigate to the Automations tab in Behaviors. In this example, we will use the Tardy Policy seen below.

Step by Step:

  1. Click on the Edit pen icon on the top right-hand corner
  2. Go to Reset Counter Automatically and toggle it on and set the Frequency you'd like your Automation Group Tardies to be reset
    *Minga’s best practice is to select “Custom” in the drop-down and input the dates of the semester. Then select 12:01 am for the reset as it will not interfere with School operating hours

  3. To manually reset the behavior count triggering the automation back to zero or update to a specific value and click the drop-down button to select All Students or Select Students

  4. You can filter by grade, role, List, or group and apply filters
  5. Select which students to reset and hit Select

  6. Enter the new Automation Counter Value and click Update

These students will now be at Step 0 in the automation framework. Their first Tardy will generate them a Tardy Warning.
