Restrict Who Can Assign or Create/Receive a Hall Pass

Restrict certain types of hall passes for specific groups of students by roles or lists to provide better control over student movements.

Permissions: Owner

Restrict certain types of hall passes for students by groups, roles, stickers or lists to provide better control over student movements and adherence to school policies in order to meet individual student needs​​. You can also restrict who can assign a hall pass per hall pass type.

Restrict Who Can Assign A Hall Pass to a Student Per Hall Pass Type 

Restrict who can assign a certain hall pass type. For example restrict who can assign an athletic's hall pass to only the coaches in your school. 

Step by Step:

1. Go to Hall Pass from the main menu and Click the Types tab
2. Create Type or Select Edit  then toggle on Limit who can assign this pass
3. Select the restriction then click Add
4. Search or filter by role, check off the individuals and click Add
5. Click Create or Save on the hall pass type
6. Toggle on to make Active

Restrict Who Can Receive a Hall Pass Per Hall Pass Type 

Restrict which students can be assigned or create a certain hall pass type. When that list of students is added to that hall pass type only they can access it, no other students are even aware that it exists. For example create a Leadership Hall Pass for your Leadership group in school. 

Step by Step:

1. Go to Hall Pass from the main menu and Click the Types tab
2. Create Type or Select Edit  then toggle on Limit students this pass is available to 
3. Click Add next to Student list
4. Search or filter by role, group or grade then check off the individuals and click Add
5. Click Create or Save on the hall pass type
6. Toggle on to make Active
