Setting limits on Hall Passes per student per pass type

Limit specific types of hall passes to prevent misuse while allowing flexibility for other needs. This helps ensure fair usage and that everyone sticks to school policies.

If you want to limit the number of specific types of hall passes a student can have, for example, having 3 restroom passes per day, but still allow for a higher overall number of passes for other purposes (e.g., 5 passes per day in total), you can set overall limits higher and then use this setting to restrict individual pass types separately.

Manage hall pass limits easily

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Access Hall Pass Limits by clicking Hall Pass > Types

2. Set Specific Limits for each Pass Type

  • Select the hall type of hall pass you want to limit and click Edit.

3. View Hall Pass Restrictions and configure your restrictions for specific students or hall pass types.

  • You can add specific students to limit this pass type
  • Limit who can assign this pass type by:
    • Role(s)
    • Lists
    • Groups
    • People
  • Limit passes per day, per student

4. When you are done click Save to apply the new limits.

What happens if a student reaches the maximum limit?

The system will stop issuing more hall passes of that type until the limit resets.
