Managing and editing the support resources available to students on the Minga Digital ID card.
Permission Level: Owner
Minga's Digital Student ID Card has features that link students directly to resources and support by phone, text, chat or web link.
By default, Minga meets California Senate Bill 972 (SB-972) and 316 (SB-316) which require:
- National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 988
- National Domestic Violence Hotline, 1-800-799-7233
And also provide authorization to include (as an option):
- Crisis Text Line, by texting HOME to 741741
- Campus police telephone number (colleges and universities)
- Local suicide prevention hotline telephone number
Editing The Information On The Back Of The Card
Any OWNER in Minga can toggle these default numbers on or off, and can add custom information to the card as well through the ID MANAGER in Minga. Commonly added links or numbers include:
- Local suicide prevention resources
- Anonymous reporting resources
- Mental Health resources and links
To edit this information (preferably in a browser to make editing easier) follow these steps:
- Go to Minga
- Choose ID Manager
- Select Settings tab and expand the Suicide Hotline Page Settings area
- Adjust desired settings/add custom info
- Done! Settings are saved automatically
