Minga runs best on up to date devices and browsers. Please make sure your devices meet the minimums below.
Web (Desktop & Mobile Browsers)
- Supported browsers: Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox (latest two versions)
- OS: Windows 10+, macOS 12+ (Monterey), ChromeOS (current channel)
- Notes: JavaScript & cookies enabled; recommended resolution 1024×768 or higher
iOS (iPhone & iPad)
- Operating system: iOS/iPadOS 16.0 or later
- App: Latest version of the Minga app from the App Store
Android
- Operating system: Android 10.0 (API 29) or later
- App: Latest version of the Minga app from Google Play
- Note for older devices: Some newer features may require a more recent Android version.
Unsupported Devices
If your device doesn’t meet these requirements, the Minga mobile app may not install or may not function as expected.
Alternative option - Web Browser Access:
You can still access Minga in your mobile browser. While we can’t guarantee full functionality on unsupported devices, many users find this works well for essential tasks.
Pinning Minga to Your Home Screen
Make Minga feel more like an app by adding it to your home screen:
- iPhone/iPad (Safari):
- Open Minga in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Select Add to Home Screen.
- Android (Chrome):
- Open Minga in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu in the top right.
- Select Add to Home Screen.
This creates an app-like icon that launches Minga directly in your browser.
Why These Requirements?
- iOS 16+: Apple’s recent privacy and security updates require apps to comply with new standards. To protect your data and ensure approval in the App Store, we can only support devices running iOS 16 or later.
- Android 10+: Google has phased in stricter rules around storage, security, and permissions. Supporting Android 10 and later allows us to meet Google Play policies while still covering a wide range of devices.
- Web browsers: We support the latest two versions of major browsers to ensure performance, security, and compatibility with modern web technologies.
Troubleshooting Tips
If Minga isn’t working as expected:
- Update your app or browser to the latest version.
- Restart your device.
- Clear cache/cookies in your browser if using the web version.
- Check internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
- If issues persist, try logging in from another supported device or browser.
