This guide will walk you through the process of exporting tardy data from Minga’s Behavior module and importing it into PowerSchool for mass attendance updates.
Step 1: Export Tardy Data from Minga

Navigate to the Behavior History Report
- In Minga, go to the Reports section of the Behaviors module.
- Select Behavior History Report.

Filter the Report
- In the filters section, filter by Behavior name and select your tardy behavior.
- Set the desired date range to include the relevant time period.

Export the Data
- Click Export List to generate a CSV file.
- Open the exported CSV file and locate the ID Number column.

Copy Student ID Numbers
- Select the entire ID Number column.
- Right-click and choose Copy or press
Ctrl + C
(Windows) /Cmd + C
(Mac).
Step 2: Import Data into PowerSchool

Open PowerSchool and Navigate to the People Module
- Log in to PowerSchool.
- Go to the People module.

Use Multi-Select to Locate Students
- Click Multiselect at the top.
- Ensure the search field is set to Student Number.
- Paste (
Ctrl + V
/Cmd + V
) the copied ID Numbers into the search field. - Click Search to load the students into PowerSchool.
Step 3: Mass Update Attendance for Tardy Students

Click “Mass Update Attendance”
- Once the students are loaded, select Mass Update Attendance from the available options.

**Select “Meetings to Scan”
- This setting determines which class periods will be checked for attendance updates.
- Select the periods where the tardies should be recorded (e.g., first-period homeroom or all periods).

Choose "Tardy" Under “Code(s) to Scan For”
- This tells PowerSchool to apply the tardy code to the selected students.

Click Submit
- PowerSchool will now update the attendance records, marking the selected students as tardy for the chosen date range and periods.
