Create Custom Check In/Check Out Reasons & Edit Existing Reasons

If you need a Check In or Check Out Reason that isn't available by default you can create your own or edit the existing ones!

Create Custom Check In/Check Out Reasons

Step by Step:

  1. Click Check In Manager
  2. Select Reasons tab
  3. Hit Create Reason
  4. Choose Reason Name, Check In or Check Out & desired Icon
  5. Pick Role, Stickers, Groups, Grades or Reasons & choose an option(s) from drop down menu - Only Minga users with selected role or sticker will be approved to Check In/Check Out for this reason. e.g. Only those with off campus lunch pass sticker will be able to check into Off Campus Lunch
  6. If needed check off Track Absentees to view the number of users with selected Role or Sticker who have not Checked In/Checked Out on the dashboard.
  7. Another option is to check off the Block No Access box if you wish to block those that have been assigned the No Access sticker.
  8. Add Points if you'd like
  9. Hit Create and make it ACTIVE
  10. Done!

If you will also be checking people out, you will need to create a separate Check Out Reason by following the same steps.

If you no longer need this custom reason you can simply make it INACTIVE or it can be deleted by clicking on the edit button Screen Shot 2022-11-07 at 11.42.18 AM and hitting Delete Reason in the bottom left corner.

  1. From inside the Check In Manger click the Edit button Screen Shot 2022-11-07 at 11.42.18 AM 
  2. Edit reason restrictions - Reasons will restrict check in by Role, Sticker, Groups, Grades or Reasons. Only users with the the roles selected - or - with the Sticker selected will be able to Check In or Check Out
  3. Check/Uncheck to Track Absentees - Absentee counts will track on the dashboard based on the total number of users with the selected Roles or Sticker
  4. Assign Points - Students will automatically receive these points when they are Checked In/Checked Out
  5. Hit Save
  6. Change Status to INACTIVE if you do not wish the reason to be available to Check In/Check Out
